Daniel Aspillaga

Chilean filmmaker, composer and music teacher. He has composed soundtracks for theater, television, installations, etc.

He participated as editor in the short film "Los Dueños de la Sonrisa", a project directed by Roberto Mathews under the tutelage of Abbas Kiarostami.

He is currently developing his debut film "Plasma", selected in Morbido Lab (SANFIC Industria, 2022), Blood Window (Ventana Sur, 2022), NAFF Project Market (Bifan 2023), the script lab Confluencias (Ñuble, 2024) and Frontières Co Production Market (Fantasia 2024).

In 2024 he directs the music video “The Sea Crashes at the Pupil”, by Antonio Monasterio Ensemble, awarded as Best Experimental Music Video at the Santiago Music Festival, 2025.
